Azaira + Matt Deep Ellum Engagement Session

Last week I had the absolute pleasure of taking photos for Azaira and Matt. I love all my couple sessions. All my clients have always been absolutely amazing. But Azaira and Matt were something special. When I first met them, Matt was zooming around on a scooter with a childlike exuberance, Azaira laughing behind.

There was so much love and mutual respect between the two of them it was impossible not to feel completely at ease. Normally it takes a couple shots for people to warm up in front of a camera, but not with Azaira and Matt. They were at ease, as if I wasn't even there.

The couple met at work and after a mutual friend set them up, the attraction was immediate and the rest was history. They got engaged in Paris, the photos of their proposal photos were so beautiful and raw and full of emotion. Next year they'll get married in Belize.

After walking around in the Texas heat for 40 minutes we stopped into a local coffee store to grab some iced coffees. I snapped a few photos of them at the table, laughing, holding hands. It's so reassuring to see couples like this— full of joy and love. Shooting them was an absolute blast and I can't wait to see what their future has in store, if it is anything like our brief 45 minute session, they're going to have a wonderful life ahead of them.
