Family Lifestyle Session by the Lake // White Rock Lake Family Photoshoot

These types of family sessions fuel my soul. Lifestyle and candid sessions are so my jam. While I definitely know there's a time and a place for the classic "everyone smile and look at the camera" shot, they can seem stuffy and inauthentic. I love to capture the in-between moments for my families. The laughter while walking to the next location, the handholds. Those are the moments that tell a families' true story. I always send out a pre-session questionnaire, this way I know exactly the expectations and wants of my clients. If they would like a traditional photoshoot for Christmas cards I'm happy to provide that, but I never stop shooting in hopes of capturing some of those really authentic moments. The Britain family was the absolute sweetest, their little daughter was so kind and inquisitive, she was so easy and fun to photograph! And I know they will look back on these photos and remember just a fun day at the lake.
